In the initial program setup, you will ask to enter your eBay user name and password. The AuctionSplash program verifies these are correct and collects a token from eBay that is only stored on your computer. The program uses this token to connect to the eBay API to continually monitor you Auctions, Watch lists and Bids without you having to log in to eBay every time.
Since AuctionSplash does not have details of your token there is additional security for your use of eBay. Everything done on eBay is through the API and hence there is a reduced risk of falling for "phishing" scams. Therefore Buying and selling on eBay using AuctionSplash is more secure.
Your eBay password is not retained by Auctionsplash Ltd. AuctionSplash Ltd does keep you photographs and details of any scheduled auctions on its servers, but only for the duration of the auction. This information is automatically deleted at the end of the auction.
AuctionSplash Ltd does not sell or transfer any details to third parties. It retains certain information for verifying and updating the AuctionSplash program and may send you details of the enhanced program AuctionSplash Pro.
Whilst every endeavour is taken to ensure that the AuctionSplash program functions correctly, no responsibility can be held for eBay fees or consequential losses caused by an error in the AuctionSplash program or a failure with the AuctionSplash.com website. It is wise to check listings once you have created them to ensure that they show the correct information. |
